Concerns have been raised that Sheffield City Council's 'Streets Ahead' project may reduce biodiversity, increase water run-off and increase light pollution across the city. See the attachment and discuss!

Hi Susannah and all.

Find attached FINAL version of the notes from the Transition Sheffield meeting with SCC and Amey about the Streets Ahead project. Steve Robinson from SCC and Graeme Symonds from Amey have both contributed amendments to the version previously circulated, otherwise it is unchanged.

My apologies for the delay in collating all responses. I was prompted into finishing it this week after attending a Burngreave Ward meeting at which some of the same issues were raised. The project will start in parts of Burngreave fairly soon.

Susannah, please circulate via the Transition Sheffield mailing lists, and post on the website when you can.

Others, please circulate as you feel appropriate. Hopefully it will encourage others to look closely at implications for their own areas.

Rick
